Dear Seniors,

“If you’re going through hell, keep going.”

Winston Churchill’s immortal words come to mind at this moment.  They might seem hyperbolic, as we are currently not being attacked by Nazis, but I am sure to some of you much of this pandemic can feel like hell.  We hear each day about how much has been taken from you.  How fatigued you are.  How disappointed.  How scared.  So I tell you that there is truly only one option: keep going.  Go through the loss, through the fatigue, through the disappointment, through the fear.  Take action and work through them, since you certainly don’t want to remain in them.  Just writing a small paragraph is an act of rebellion against your current sadness, anger, or pain.  Keep going.  Keep going.  Keep going.  Keep going.
